Have you been #followingthestrings ?!
We are truly making strides this month with the sales of our heart bracelet. We have sold 42 heart bracelets over the past few weeks. We are so excited to be able to donate 42 teddy bears to the Children's Alliance located in Nashville's brand new Family Justice Center. If you don't know what a Family Justice Center is its a collaboration of both public and private agencies in one location that serves domestic violence victims and their families. It's often referred to as a one-stop shop where families can go to receive services to promote their safety and well-being. How awesome is that here in nashville we have a resource such as the Family Justice Center?
What events are we going to be at this week?
The grand opening of the Family Justice Center on March 8th.
The Southern Womans Show at the convention center March 7th-10th.
The Farmers Market Saturday March 9th from 8am -2pm.
We are also working on getting a 2nd cart location out on broadway and theres some talk about maybe even on 12 south! How fun would that be? The more locations we have to sell at, the more survivors we will be able to help.
We are hiring for a sales positions!
Starting at $11/hour + commission. We are in need of fun, bubbly, self-motivated individuals who can help us share our mission. We have a cart the at we wheel out to broadway (in front of the Valentine) daily. You will be working outside for 4-6 hours promoting, selling, and just hanging out with tourists. It really is a fun way to get paid! We also have events almost weekly. Set up at music festivals, markets, boutique pop-ups. Shifts are from 10am-2:30 pm and 2:30 - 7pm in the summer time. The hours change a little here and there but we are extremely flexible. You may even get the opportunity to hang out at musical festivals and trade shows in different states. It is a ton a fun and accommodations are always paid for. If interested, please email your resume to EMILY.StringsforHope@gmail.com
We are so excited to announce that we are doing a teddy bear drive all of February into March leading up to the GRAND OPENING of Nashvilles very own Family Justice Center. We were lucky enough to tour the building while it was under construction and we were moved when we heard that in the kids center, each child that visits gets to pick their very own teddy bear from a giant wall of teddy bears, did I mention that this is the first thing that a child sees when they enter the Children's Alliance Building. Unfortunately they are running out of teddy bears so we couldn't wait to be able to do what we could for them.
For each Love Knot and Heart sold from now until the GO of FJC, we will be donating one bear for each of these bracelets sold. We are so excited to help out and be apart of the Nashville Family Center. Donations are excepted we just ask if you would like to donate a teddy bear that it be new. We will be accepting Teddy Bears at our cart on broadway and at the Farmers Market on Saturdays.
