What is Strings for Hope?
Strings for Hope is a non-profit who takes recycled musical strings and make them into wearable art.
Instrument strings are constructed using mixed metals making them non-recyclable in traditional manners, as a result they end up in landfills. We take those strings and create unique handcrafted wearable art in the forms of bracelets, necklaces and rings for both men and women. The jewelry is made by people in transitional housing. At the moment we partner with Mending Hearts. The women there get paid for each piece, this provides another source of supplemental income for them while they are transitioning into normal living. We strive to provide all the artisans supplemental income, a form of therapy, and life skills. We also support individual organizations which you can read more about under the Charities and Organizations page. We host events, projects, and campaigns yearly to aid those in need. We intend to raise THOUSANDS with each project to hold. The sky is the limit to give back! You can buy a bracelet, attend an event, donate strings, be a sponsor, volunteers, etc.
